Erik Joshua makes it 5!!

Hello Everyone,
Starting a new blog as you can see! We are not the Koshinski4 anymore are we? Erik Joshua was born on December 7th 2008 . He was 7lbs 4oz and 21 1/2 inches long. I was due on the 8th but for 2 days (the 6th and 7th) I was having numerous amounts of braxton hicks over 30 on Saturday and almost 30 by 7am Sunday morning. I had been keeping in touch with the doctor on call at the hospital both days. Finally just to be sure,she said to come on in and get checked out. We called our neighbor and friend Joan to come over till the girls woke up. She had offered to help out when the time came.She was kind enough to keep them all day. So we took the 1/2 hour drive to the Hospital. They checked me out and revield I was 4 centimeters dialated. They gave me the option to go home if I wanted and let him come on his own or be induced because no one else was in labor and delivery that day. So I said what the heck lets have him today!! So they were getting me hooked up to the I.V.,getting me an epi ,and the drug started to take effect all by 10:30am . Erik very much did not like patosin(sp?). His heart rate dropped from around 153 to 89. So they took me off the drug. Tried a few times and everytime his heart rate dropped. So we went ahead and had my water broke and after being in labor since 10:30 am I finally had him at 6:29pm.It was an awful experience. I never want to be pregnant again! So two wonderful things happened that day,Our beautiful son was born and I no longer have to take those Heprin injections in my belly twice a day.
So that is it in a nutshell.
We got home Dec.8th around 8pm. For the 1st week Wayne cooked ,cleaned,got the kids up and off to school,picked them up from school brought them to gymnastics and brought them home,got them ready from bed etc.ect.ect.arah.lol The church has been kind enough to make our meals Mon.wed.fri. of the week that just past. It was a huge help.
So anyways he is now 2 weeks old. He is eating well and gaining weight.The girls are thrilled to have him here. Kirah holds him every chance she gets and Amber although happy to have him here loses interest fairly quickly.lol That is just her.....
Christmas is around the corner, 2 more days! The girls of course are excited about it. Wayne's family will be coming for Christmas day dinner. It will be busy the next few days. I hope Erik sleeps at night... yeah......riiiiiight!
